The Thusong Service Center launches continue to turn around the lives of ordinary citizens in the country.

MEC Norman Mokoena for Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs in Mpumalanga launched the Mbangwane Thusong Service Centre. Mbangwane is situated in the Nkomazi Local Municipality, which is about 260 return kilometers from the capital city of Mpumalanga – Nelspruit.

“This centre like all Thusong Service Centres must be seen as a tool government using to address the needs of our people who still suffer from poverty and deprivation and thus bring about the promise of working together we can do more”, said the MEC.

Nkomazi Local Municipality Executive Mayor Clr. M. J. Mavuso urged the Mbangwane and the surrounding community to use the resource to improve their lives and to take good care of the resources available to them.

The launch of the centre was a dream comes true for the community of Mbangwane and the government as it is one of the 2014 Millennium Development Goals. It was unimaginably true that the rural people of Mbangwane who never saw or knew anything about the internet are now going to have access to it, and will also take advantage of the opportunities it presents to them.

Nelspruit/ Malelane has now come to Mbangwane, community members do not have to go to Nelspruit / Malelane to get identity documents, birth certificates, apply for pensions, UIF and foster care grants.
