“Gone are the days when poor rural communities had to travel long distances to access government services,” said Limpopo Premier Cassel Mathale when he officially launched the Mtititi Thusong Service Centre.

The premier urged communities in Mtititi and surrounding villages near Malamulele to access government services at their doorstep. “As government, we want to ensure that communities from villages such as Halahala, Merve , Mabayeni, Lomberd, Altein , Plange RDP Town and Muhunguti, among others,  will no longer have to travel long distances to access government services,” he said .

He said some of government institutions and departments  which will render services include the South African Social Security Agency, the Police, Social Development, Agriculture, Municipality, Traditional Council and  Labour. “We   urge our communities to utilise services offered in the center and ensure that the building is not vandalised so the coming generation can still  use it. We strongly condemn communities who vandalise government buildings,” said Premier Mathale.

One of the community members who is set to benefit from the opening of the centre, Ms Conny Maluleke, was over the moon when she heard that for the very first time in the history of her community, they are now going to start receiving different government services at a centralised place.“Today I feel relieved that my community will no longer have to travel more than 30km to Malamulele to access government services,” she said adding that she is excited to  join others to celebrate the  delivery of government services.
