Through the partnership between the Thusong programme and Samsung, the e-waste Management Programme is being rolled-out in some Thusong Service Centres countrywide. The aim of the programme is to provide training and skills to young people who are unemployed. Samsung provides training to 25 young people of Siyathemba on how to dismantle electrical appliance and sell the parts for profit. They further provided toolboxes each to the value of R2000. Lastly, they donated garden tools and seeds to boost the centre’s garden.
